Preparation Instructions

1

Make the Dough

In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. Add olive oil, salt, and flour gradually, mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.

2

First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

3

Prepare the Crust

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Punch down the risen dough and stretch it into a greased baking pan (about 10x15 inches) to create a thick crust. Let it rest for another 20 minutes.

4

Pre-bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes until lightly golden.

5

Add Sauce and Cheese

Remove the crust from the oven, spread the vodka sauce evenly over the top, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese. Place slices of fresh mozzarella on top.

6

Second Bake

Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

7

Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve hot.
