Bread Pudding Ingredients

Method

Bread Pudding Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Tear the day-old bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the wet mixture over the torn bread and add the raisins or chocolate chips. Gently fold everything together until the bread is well coated.

  4. 4

    Prepare Baking Dish

Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter. Pour the bread mixture into the prepared dish and spread it evenly.

  5. 5

    Bake the Pudding

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Cool and Serve

Allow the bread pudding to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally topped with whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
