Margarita Ingredients

Method

Margarita Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Take a lime wedge and rub it around the rim of the glass to wet it. Dip the rim of the glass into a plate of salt to coat the edge evenly.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of lime juice, and 1 oz of triple sec.

  3. 3

    Add Ice

Fill the shaker with ice cubes (approximately 1 cup) to chill the mixture.

  4. 4

    Shake the Mixture

Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty.

  5. 5

    Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice. Optionally, you can serve it straight up without ice if preferred.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Enjoy

Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass and serve immediately.
