Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Rub the whole red chicken with the house BBQ mix, ensuring an even coating. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. 2

    Grill the Chicken

Place the chicken on the grill and cook for approximately 1.5 hours, turning occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Brush with house BBQ sauce during the last 15 minutes of cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Corn

While the chicken is grilling, boil a pot of water. Add the corn on the cob and cook for about 10 minutes until tender. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare Cornbread

Follow the instructions on the cornbread mix package. Usually, mix the ingredients and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Make Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with your choice of dressing. Toss well to combine and refrigerate until serving.

Serving

  1. 6

Once everything is cooked, plate the grilled chicken with corn on the cob, a slice of cornbread, and a generous serving of coleslaw. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side and the cookies for dessert.
