Method
Preparing the Lamb Kebabs
- 1
Marinate the Lamb
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed lamb, olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. Mix well to coat the lamb evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for better flavor.
- 2
Prepare the Skewers
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill. After marinating, thread the lamb pieces onto the soaked skewers, leaving some space between each piece for even cooking.
Cooking the Rice
- 3
Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine the basmati rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes. Stir in butter before serving.
