    Prepare the Glass

    Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.

    Infuse Vodka

    In a shaker, muddle the fresh fig leaves with a little bit of vodka to release the flavor.

    Combine Ingredients

    Add the remaining vodka, dry vermouth, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice to the shaker.

    Shake it Up

    Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

    Strain and Serve

    Empty the ice water from the martini glass and strain the cocktail mixture into the chilled glass.

    Garnish

    Garnish with a fresh fig slice on the rim of the glass and serve immediately.

Spicy Margarita

    Moisten the rim of a rocks glass with a lime wedge and dip it into salt to coat the rim. Set aside.
