Method

Shrimp Pâté Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Shrimp

In a medium pot of boiling salted water, add the raw shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Drain and cool.

  2. 2

    Blend the Ingredients

In a food processor, add the cooked shrimp, softened cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Bread Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Baguette

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Slice the French baguette in half lengthwise and brush the cut sides with melted butter.

  2. 4

    Toast the Bread

Place the baguette halves cut-side up on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until they are slightly golden.

Assembly and Broiling

  1. 5

    Spread the Pâté

Remove the toasted baguette from the oven and spread a generous layer of the shrimp pâté over the cut sides.

  2. 6

    Broil the Toast

Set the oven to broil and place the prepared shrimp toast back in the oven. Broil for about 2-3 minutes, until the pâté is bubbly and lightly browned.

  3. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley, cut into pieces, and serve warm.
