Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This will ensure the garlic toast gets nice and crispy.
- 2
Prepare Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add minced garlic (4 cloves) and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- 3
Season the Butter
Add salt (1 teaspoon) and black pepper (to taste) to the garlic butter mixture. If desired, stir in chopped fresh parsley (2 tablespoons) for added flavor and color.
- 4
Slice the Baguette
Slice the French baguette into 1-inch thick slices. You can cut them on a diagonal for a more appealing presentation.
Toasting
- 5
- 6
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Place the buttered baguette slices on a baking sheet, buttered side up, ensuring they are not overlapping.
- 7
Toast in the Oven
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and toast for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
- 8
Serve
Remove the garlic toast from the oven. Let it cool for a minute before serving. Enjoy warm as a side dish or appetizer!
