Method
Preparation
- 1
Rinse the Rice
In a fine mesh strainer, rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This will help remove excess starch and prevent the rice from becoming gummy.
- 2
Chop the Garlic
Peel and finely chop the fresh garlic cloves. Set aside.
Cooking
- 3
Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed jasmine rice and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-18 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water has been absorbed.
- 4
Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and slightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
