Method

Filling Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the Dungeness crab meat, chopped peanuts, herb cheese, and finely chopped green onions. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Assembly

  1. 2

    Assemble the Crab Puffs

Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the crab filling into the center of the wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it over to create a triangle, and press the edges to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Dipping Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Dipping Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, soy sauce, honey, mustard, and water until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more water if necessary.

Frying

  1. 4

    Fry the Crab Puffs

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the crab puffs in batches, frying until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve with Dipping Sauce

Arrange the crab puffs on a serving platter and serve hot with the peanut-mustard dipping sauce on the side.
