Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Linguine

In a large pot of salted boiling water, add the linguine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the shrimp and season with salt, pepper, and half of the lemon zest. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with garlic. Pour in the lemon juice and reserved pasta water. Toss everything together over low heat for 1-2 minutes until well combined.

  5. 5

    Finish the Dish

Return the sautéed shrimp to the skillet. Add the rest of the lemon zest, chopped parsley, and stir well. Cook for another minute to heat through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Lemon Pepper Shrimp Linguine hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and extra parsley if desired.
