Chicken Parmigiana
Method
Chicken Parmigiana
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Start by preparing the chicken breasts. If they are thick, gently pound them to an even thickness.
- 2
Set Up Breading Stations
Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Coat each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the egg, allowing the excess to drip off, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- 4
Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and place on a baking dish.
- 5
Add Marinara and Cheese
Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- 6
Bake the Chicken
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the chicken for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
