Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Noodles

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add flat rice noodles and cook according to package instructions (usually about 5-7 minutes) until soft. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the noodles are cooking, wash and chop the broccoli, slice the carrot and bell pepper, and chop the green onions. Set aside.

Gravy

  1. 3

    Make the Gravy

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine black bean paste, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and vegetable broth. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

  2. 4

    Thicken the Gravy

Once the mixture is simmering, add the cornstarch slurry and stir continuously until the gravy thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Combine and Serve

In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the cooked noodles and vegetables. Pour the gravy over the noodles and vegetables, tossing everything to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.

  2. 6

    Garnish

Serve the Rad Na hot, garnished with chopped green onions and chili flakes to taste.
