Duck Preparation
- 1
Season the Duck
Pat the duck breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Prepare the Marinade
In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, grated ginger, soy sauce, minced garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes until well combined.

Finish Cooking in Oven
Flip the duck breasts and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Roast for an additional 8-10 minutes for medium-rare doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 135°F (57°C).

Glaze with Marinade
While the duck is in the oven, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened. Brush the glaze over the duck breasts during the last 2 minutes of cooking.

Rest the Duck
Once cooked, remove the duck from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Plate and Garnish
Slice the duck breasts and arrange them on a serving platter. Drizzle with any remaining glaze and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
