Soup

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Start by soaking the silver noodles in warm water for about 10 minutes until they become soft. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Black Fungus

Soak the black fungus in warm water for about 15 minutes until they expand. Rinse and slice them into strips.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Aromatics

In a large pot, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped onion, sauté until fragrant and the onion becomes translucent.

  4. 4

    Cook the Ground Pork

Add the ground pork to the pot, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked through.

  5. 5

    Add Broth and Vegetables

Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth. Add sliced napa cabbage and black fungus to the pot. Bring to a simmer.

  6. 6

    Season the Soup

Add soy sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Let the soup simmer for about 10 minutes until the napa cabbage is tender.

  7. 7

    Add the Noodles

Stir in the softened silver noodles and let them cook in the soup for 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  8. 8

    Serve

Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with chopped green onions. Enjoy your Woon Sen Soup hot!
