Garlic Butter

Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Once ready, place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your preferred doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, approximately 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 6

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps achieve a crispier fry.

  3. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain and pat dry the soaked potatoes. Carefully add them to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. 9

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Immediately sprinkle with salt while they are hot.

Garlic Butter

  1. 10

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat.

  2. 11

    Add Garlic and Parsley

Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the melted butter. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, then stir in the chopped fresh parsley and a pinch of salt.

  3. 12

    Serve

Drizzle the garlic butter over the grilled steaks just before serving.
