Burger Assembly

Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Mixing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well using your hands until all seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the meat.

  2. 2

    Shaping Patties

Divide the seasoned ground beef into two equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Heating the Grill or Pan

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Ensure that it is hot before adding the patties to achieve a good sear.

  2. 4

    Cooking the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Toasting the Buns

While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layering the Ingredients

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, red onion rings, pickle slices, and a drizzle of ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
