Method
Brisket Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Brisket
Rub the brisket with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Make sure to coat it evenly.
- 2
Cook the Brisket
Place the seasoned brisket in a slow cooker and pour in the beef broth. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the brisket is tender and easily shredded.
- 3
Shred the Brisket
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes. Shred the meat using two forks and return to the cooker to soak up the juices.
Cole Slaw Preparation
- 4
Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- 5
Chill the Cole Slaw
Cover the bowl and refrigerate the cole slaw for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Sandwich Assembly
- 6
Prepare the Bread
Lay out the slices of white or wheat bread on a clean surface.
- 7

- 8
Assemble the Sandwich
Layer shredded brisket on the mayonnaise side, followed by a generous scoop of cole slaw. Top with the mustard-coated slice of bread.
- 9
Serve
Cut the sandwich in half if desired, and serve immediately.
