For the Coffee Mixture

For the Mascarpone Filling

Method

Prepare the Coffee Mixture

  1. 1

    Brew Espresso

Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee and allow it to cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Mix Coffee Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the brewed espresso, coffee liqueur, and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Make the Mascarpone Filling

  1. 3

    Whip Heavy Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

  2. 4

    Prepare Egg Mixture

In another bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy.

  3. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Gently fold in 1 cup of mascarpone cheese and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the egg yolk mixture. Then, carefully fold in the whipped cream until fully combined.

Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. 6

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

In a rectangular dish, lay half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the ladyfingers.

  3. 8

    Repeat Layers

Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone filling.

  4. 9

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  5. 10

    Serve

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings if desired.
