Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Wash and Prepare Strawberries

Rinse the fresh strawberries under cold water to remove any dirt. Remove the green tops and slice the strawberries into halves.

  2. 2

    Juice the Lemons

Cut the lemons in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice. Strain the juice to remove any seeds or pulp if desired.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugar and Water

In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and 1 cup of water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, creating a simple syrup. Remove from heat and let cool.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 4

    Blend Strawberries

Place the sliced strawberries in a blender. Pour in the cooled simple syrup and add the remaining 3 cups of water along with the fresh lemon juice. Blend until smooth.

  2. 5

    Strain the Mixture

Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the blended mixture into a pitcher to remove the pulp, if you prefer a smoother beverage.

Serving

  1. 6

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the strawberry lemonade for at least 30 minutes to chill. Serve over ice in glasses. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves if desired.
