Bread Base

Garlic Butter Mixture

Method

Preparing the Garlic Butter

  1. 1

    Soften the Butter

In a medium bowl, allow the unsalted butter to sit at room temperature until softened, about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Mince the Garlic

Peel and mince the garlic cloves finely. You can also use a garlic press for a finer texture.

  3. 3

    Chop the Parsley

Wash and finely chop the fresh parsley leaves.

  4. 4

    Mix Ingredients

In the bowl with softened butter, add minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Preparing the Bread

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 6

    Slice the Baguette

Cut the French baguette in half lengthwise to create two long pieces.

  3. 7

    Spread the Garlic Butter

Generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the baguette.

Baking the Bread

  1. 8

    Bake the Garlic Bread

Place the prepared baguette halves on a baking sheet, cut side up, and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and crispy.

  2. 9

    Optional Broil

For extra crispiness, switch the oven to broil and broil the garlic bread for an additional 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.

Serving

  1. 10

    Slice and Serve

Remove the garlic bread from the oven, let it cool for a minute, then slice into pieces and serve warm.
