Method

Salad Preparation

1

Prepare the Lettuce

Wash and dry the romaine lettuce thoroughly. Tear it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

2

Add Parmesan

Grate the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the lettuce in the bowl.

Crouton Preparation

3

Make the Croutons

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the French bread into cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

4

Season the Croutons

Drizzle the olive oil over the bread cubes and sprinkle with garlic powder and salt. Toss until the bread is evenly coated.

5

Bake the Croutons

Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until golden and crispy, stirring occasionally.

Dressing Preparation

6

Make the Caesar Dressing

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Whisk until smooth.

7

Season the Dressing

Taste the dressing and add salt and black pepper as desired. Adjust to your preferred flavor.

Final Assembly

8

Combine Salad Ingredients

Pour the dressing over the romaine lettuce and Parmesan cheese. Toss gently to combine.

9

Add Croutons

Top the salad with the freshly baked croutons and serve immediately.
