Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cucumber

Wash the cucumber thoroughly. Cut it lengthwise and scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Grate the cucumber using a box grater or a food processor.

  2. 2

    Squeeze Excess Water

Place the grated cucumber in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth. Squeeze it to remove excess water to prevent the dip from becoming too watery.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly mixed.

  4. 4

    Adjust Flavor

Taste the dip and adjust seasoning with more salt, black pepper, or lemon juice as desired.

  5. 5

    Chill the Dip

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  6. 6

    Serve

Drizzle olive oil on top before serving. Serve the tzatziki with pita bread, fresh vegetables, or as a condiment for grilled meats.
