Meat Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the beef sirloin and coat it well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Beef

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated beef for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the beef is marinating, slice the tomatoes and onion. Set aside. Rinse and dry the mixed lettuce.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Tzatziki Sauce

In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, fresh dill, and salt. Mix well until smooth and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Gyros

Warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1 minute on each side. Slice the grilled beef thinly and place it on the warm pita. Top with mixed lettuce, sliced tomatoes, grilled onions, and tzatziki sauce. Roll up the pita and enjoy!
