Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Spaghetti

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cheese and Pepper

While the pasta is cooking, finely grate the Pecorino Romano cheese. In a large skillet, toast the black pepper in olive oil over medium heat for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the toasted pepper and oil. Toss to combine, and gradually add reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until you reach your desired sauce consistency.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese and Serve

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the grated Pecorino Romano cheese until creamy. Add more pasta water if necessary. Serve immediately with extra cheese and black pepper on top.
