Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add rigatoni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet or saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, carrot, and celery. Sauté until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.

Stir in minced garlic and ground pork. Cook until the pork is browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Once the ragu is thickened and flavors melded, combine it with the cooked rigatoni. Toss to coat the pasta in the sauce.
