Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, cooked spinach, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 2
Prepare the Beef
Lay the beef flank steak flat on a clean surface. Pound it to an even thickness if necessary. Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the steak.
- 3
Roll and Secure
Starting from one end, roll the steak tightly into a log. Secure the roll with kitchen twine or toothpicks at intervals.
- 4
Sear the Rolls
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the brasciole rolls and sear on all sides until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- 5
Add Marinara Sauce
Pour the marinara sauce over the seared brasciole in the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 30-40 minutes.
- 6
Cook the Spaghetti
Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 7
Serve
Once the brasciole is cooked, remove from sauce and let rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve over spaghetti with marinara sauce.
