Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice

Rinse 1 cup of jeera rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, add the rice with 2 cups of water, a pinch of salt, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until water is absorbed.

  2. 2

    Cook the Protein

Choose your main protein: For chicken or pork, season with salt and pepper, and cook in a skillet over medium heat for 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through. For jackfruit, sauté in a skillet with a bit of oil until heated through, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Heat the Sauce

In a small saucepan, heat 100 ml of your chosen sauce (Vindaloo or Tikka Masala) over medium heat until warmed through.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Bowl

In a bowl, layer the cooked jeera rice, followed by the cooked protein. Drizzle with the warmed sauce and top with your choice of up to two toppings.
