Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Gyoza

Take a gyoza wrapper and place about a tablespoon of the shrimp filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water. Fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges tightly to seal. You can create pleats for a decorative touch if desired. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

  3. 3

    Pan Fry the Gyoza

Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the gyoza in the skillet, making sure they are not touching. Fry for about 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.

  4. 4

    Steam the Gyoza

Add the water to the skillet, cover immediately, and reduce the heat to medium. Steam the gyoza for about 5-6 minutes or until the water has evaporated and the gyoza are cooked through.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the gyoza from the skillet and serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
