    Prepare the Ingredients

    Peel and devein the shrimp. Dice the potatoes into small cubes. Set aside.

    Sauté the Spices

    In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for about 30 seconds.

    Add Aromatics

    Add the diced potatoes and sauté for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.

    Incorporate the Tomato Sauce

    Stir in the tomato sauce, cayenne pepper, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

    Add Water

    Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes until the potatoes are fully cooked.

    Cook the Shrimp

    Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.

    Garnish and Serve

    Remove from heat, garnish with chopped cilantro, and serve hot with rice or naan.
