Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prep the Paneer

Cut the cottage cheese (paneer) into cubes and set aside.

  2. 2

    Soak the Nuts

Soak cashews and almonds in warm water for about 15-20 minutes, then drain and blend into a smooth paste with a little water.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Onions

Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

  2. 4

    Add Ginger and Garlic

Stir in the grated ginger and minced garlic, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 5

    Spice It Up

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and sauté for a minute.

  4. 6

    Add Nut Paste

Incorporate the blended cashew and almond paste into the mixture, stirring well to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

  5. 7

    Add Green Peas

Add the green peas to the pan. Pour in water, bring to a gentle boil, and then reduce heat to simmer for 5 minutes.

  6. 8

    Add Paneer

Gently fold in the paneer cubes and garam masala. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes until the paneer is heated through.

  7. 9

    Final Touch

Adjust seasoning if necessary, and remove from heat.
