Method
Marinating Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and place them in a bowl.
- 2
Add Marinade
In the bowl, add soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Batter Preparation
- 3
Make the Batter
In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, and water. Mix until a smooth batter forms.
Frying Chicken
- 4
Heat Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- 5
Coat and Fry
Dip the marinated chicken pieces into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, and carefully place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Making the Sauce
- 6
Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, chili sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Sautéing Chicken
- 7
Combine Chicken and Sauce
In a large skillet, over medium heat, add the fried chicken pieces. Pour the sauce over the chicken and toss to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- 8
Finish with Green Onions
Sprinkle chopped green onions on top before serving.
