Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Filling

Lay out the thinly sliced pork loin and season with salt and black pepper. Place a slice of Serrano ham and a slice of cheese on top of each piece of pork.

2

Roll the Pork

Carefully roll each piece of pork, ham, and cheese tightly. Secure each roll with toothpicks or kitchen twine to hold the filling inside.

3

Coat the Flamenquin

Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each pork roll in flour, dip in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

4

Fry the Flamenquin

In a large frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the breaded rolls in batches, frying until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.

5

Serve

Remove the Flamenquin from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
