Pulled Chicken

Method

Pulled Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Chicken

In a large bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts and coat them evenly with the spice mixture.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Chicken

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the smoker rack and smoke for about 2-3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  3. 3

    Shred the Chicken

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the smoker and let it rest for 10 minutes. Shred the chicken using two forks, and then mix in the buffalo sauce until well combined.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the chicken is resting, toast the brat buns on a hot skillet or grill until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Layer the bottom half of each toasted brat bun with a generous portion of the buffalo pulled chicken. Top with a slice of provolone cheese.

  3. 6

    Add Toppings

If desired, sprinkle chopped celery and green onions over the cheese for added crunch and flavor.

  4. 7

    Finish the Sandwich

Cover with the top half of the brat bun. Serve each sandwich with a side of ranch dressing for dipping.
