Prepare the Brisket
If using leftover brisket, chop it into small pieces. If cooking from raw, season the brisket with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, then cook it until tender.

Mix the Cream Cheese
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese with half of the sliced jalapenos. Mix until well combined.

Prepare the Buns
Slice the hamburger buns in half and toast them lightly in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
Assembly

Spread Cream Cheese Mixture
Take the toasted bottom half of each bun and spread a generous layer of the cream cheese and jalapeno mixture.

Add Chopped Brisket
Top the cream cheese layer with an even amount of chopped brisket.

If desired, add shredded lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles on top of the brisket.

Place the top half of the bun on each sandwich to complete.
