Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Brisket

Trim any excess fat from the brisket if necessary, leaving a thin layer of fat for moisture.

Seasoning

  1. 3

    Mix the Seasoning

In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

  2. 4

    Season the Brisket

Rub the seasoning mixture all over the brisket, ensuring it is evenly coated.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Sear the Brisket

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the brisket on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  2. 6

    Prepare for Roasting

Transfer the seared brisket to a roasting pan and pour beef broth into the bottom of the pan.

  3. 7

    Cover and Roast

Cover the roasting pan tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Roast for about 3 to 4 hours or until the brisket is fork-tender.

Serving

  1. 8

    Rest the Brisket

Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.

  2. 9

    Slice and Serve

Slice the brisket against the grain and serve it with the pan juices or your favorite sides.
