Method

Omelet Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, crack the 3 eggs and whisk them until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. 2

    Cook the Fillings

In a skillet over medium heat, add the ham, chopped tomato, and chopped onion. Sauté until the onions are translucent and the ham is heated through, about 3-5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Make the Omelet

Pour the beaten eggs over the filling in the skillet. Cook until the edges start to set, then gently lift the edges with a spatula to allow the uncooked egg to flow underneath. Once the omelet is mostly set, sprinkle the cheese on top.

  4. 4

    Fold and Serve

Carefully fold the omelet in half and allow it to cook for another minute until the cheese melts. Slide onto a plate.

Toast Preparation

  1. 5

    Toast the Bread

In a separate skillet or toaster, toast the 2 slices of bread until golden brown. Spread butter on top while still warm.
