Spicy Sauce
Method
Preparation of Chicken Wings
- 1
Marinate the Wings
In a large bowl, combine 2 pounds of chicken wings, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Mix well to coat all the wings evenly.
- 2
Refrigerate
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the marinated wings for at least 1 hour, or overnight for better flavor.
Cooking the Chicken Wings
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 4
Arrange Wings on Baking Sheet
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack over it. Arrange the marinated chicken wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- 5
Bake the Wings
Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through cooking.
Preparing the Spicy Sauce
- 6
Make the Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup of hot sauce, 1 tablespoon of honey, 4 tablespoons of butter, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Stir continuously until the butter is melted and the mixture is well combined.
- 7
Simmer
Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, to let the flavors meld together.
Serving
- 8
Toss Wings in Sauce
Once the chicken wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the spicy sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
- 9
Serve
Serve the chicken wings hot with extra sauce on the side for dipping.
