Method
Turkey Preparation
- 1
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- 2
Prepare Turkey
Remove the turkey giblets and rinse the turkey under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels.
- 3
Season Turkey
Rub the turkey with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, and thyme. Ensure seasoning is applied both inside and out.
- 4
Roast Turkey
Place the turkey breast-side up on a rack in a roasting pan. Roast the turkey in the preheated oven, basting occasionally, for about 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- 5
Rest Turkey
Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before carving.
- 6
Shred Turkey
After resting, shred the turkey meat using two forks or your hands, discarding the skin and bones.
Sandwich Assembly

While the turkey is resting, slice the tomato and red onion. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves.

- 9
