Method
Preparing the Fries
- 1
Cook the Fries
Preheat your oven or deep fryer according to the package instructions for the frozen French fries. Cook the fries until they are golden brown and crispy, which usually takes about 20-25 minutes in the oven or 5-7 minutes in a deep fryer.
Preparing the Toppings
- 2
Heat the Pastrami
While the fries are cooking, slice the pastrami into thin strips and heat it in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3
Melt the Swiss Cheese
Once the pastrami is heated, place the slices on top of the fries during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Add the Swiss cheese on top of the pastrami and return to the oven until the cheese is melted.
- 4
Prepare the Coleslaw
In a bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with a drizzle of Russian dressing, mixing well to coat the slaw evenly.
Assembly
- 5
Assemble the Capastrami Fries
Once the fries are cooked and the cheese is melted, remove them from the oven. Top with the prepared pastrami, followed by the coleslaw mixture. Drizzle additional Russian dressing over the top if desired.
