Method

Turkey Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Rub the entire turkey with olive oil, and then season generously with BBQ seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Place the turkey in a roasting pan.

  2. 2

    Roast the Turkey

Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for approximately 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Baste the turkey with its juices every hour.

Mixed Greens Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed salad greens, halved cherry tomatoes, corn, and black beans. Toss gently to mix.

Crispy Cheddar Onions Preparation

  1. 4

    Fry the Onions

In a bowl, mix the sliced onions with flour until well-coated. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the onions in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese

While the onions are still warm, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over them and let it melt slightly.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Chipotle Ranch Dressing

In a small bowl, combine ranch dressing and finely chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. Mix well and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Dish

Once the turkey is done, let it rest for 20 minutes before carving. Serve the carved turkey over the mixed greens. Top with crispy cheddar onions, drizzle with chipotle ranch dressing, and add BBQ sauce as desired.
