Preparation

  1. 1

    Slice the Vegetables

Thinly slice the onion, mushrooms, and hot or sweet peppers. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Beef

Cut the American Wagyu beef into thin strips, approximately 1/4 inch thick.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they become translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Then, add the mushrooms and hot or sweet peppers, and sauté for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  2. 4

    Cook the Beef

Push the sautéed vegetables to one side of the skillet. Add the thinly sliced American Wagyu beef to the empty side of the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally until the beef is browned and cooked to your desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Once the beef is cooked, mix it with the sautéed vegetables. Lay the slices of white American cheese over the beef mixture in the skillet. Cover the skillet to help the cheese melt for about 2-3 minutes.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Cheesesteak

Slice the hoagie rolls open. Using a spatula, scoop the beef and vegetable mixture into each hoagie roll, ensuring each roll is filled generously with the melted cheese and toppings.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve the American Wagyu cheesesteaks immediately while hot, optionally with extra hot or sweet peppers on the side.
