Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Spaghetti
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
- 3
Brown the Meat
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 8-10 minutes.
- 4
Add Tomatoes and Wine
Stir in the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine. Add oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- 5
Simmer the Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
- 6
Serve
Serve the spaghetti topped with the Bolognese sauce and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese to taste.
