Method

Preparing the Seafood

  1. 1

    Cooking the Lobster

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the whole Maine lobster and cook for about 10-12 minutes until it's bright red and cooked through. Remove from water and let it cool before cracking it open.

  2. 2

    Preparing the Oysters

Shuck the Gulf Coast oysters and place them on a bed of crushed ice. Alternatively, you can serve them on the half shell.

  3. 3

    Cooking the Shrimp

In a pot of boiling water, add the jumbo shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from water and plunge them into ice water to stop the cooking. Peel and devein the shrimp.

  4. 4

    Preparing the Crab Meat

If using fresh crab meat, gently pick through the jumbo lump crab meat to remove any shells. If using packaged crab meat, simply drain and set aside.

Making the Cocktail Sauce

  1. 5

    Mixing the Sauce

In a bowl, combine the ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Assembling the Seafood Tower

  1. 6

    Building the Tower

On a large platter or tiered serving dish, arrange the lobster, oysters, shrimp, and crab meat. Serve with cocktail sauce on the side.

  2. 7

    Garnishing

Garnish the seafood tower with lemon wedges and fresh parsley for added color and flavor.
