Oysters

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Oysters

Rinse the oysters under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris. Scrub the shells with a brush to ensure they are clean.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill to a medium-high heat. If using charcoal, allow the coals to reach a uniform heat before placing the oysters on the grill.

Garlic Butter Sauce

  1. 3

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.

  2. 4

    Add the Ingredients

Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and let it simmer for about 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Grilling

  1. 5

    Grill the Oysters

Place the cleaned oysters on the grill, cup side down. Grill for about 5-7 minutes, or until the shells start to open.

  2. 6

    Add the Garlic Butter Sauce

Carefully spoon the garlic butter sauce over each oyster as they begin to open.

  3. 7

    Top with Cheese and Paprika

Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and paprika over the oysters. Close the grill lid and continue to grill for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve

Remove the oysters from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing.
