Whipped Russet Potatoes

Method

Preparing the Whipped Russet Potatoes

  1. 1

    Boil the Potatoes

In a large pot, add the cubed russet potatoes and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Drain and Mash

Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them and return to the pot. Add butter, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Keep warm.

Cooking the BBQ Shrimp

  1. 3

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 4

    Add Seasoning and Shrimp

Sprinkle the blackened seasoning over the shrimp, then add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.

  3. 5

    Make the Sauce

Pour in the Worcestershire sauce and heavy cream. Stir well and let simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  4. 6

    Finishing Touches

Stir in the chopped green onions, then remove from heat.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Spoon a generous serving of the whipped russet potatoes onto a plate. Top with the BBQ shrimp and drizzle the creamy sauce over the top.

  2. 8

    Serve

Garnish with additional green onions if desired and serve hot.
