Rim the edge of a glass with smoked sea salt. To do this, moisten the rim of the glass with a lime wedge and dip it into a plate of smoked sea salt until evenly coated.

In a cocktail shaker, combine the mezcal, lime juice, agave syrup, and chopped fresh cilantro. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is chilled.

Using a strainer, pour the mixture from the shaker into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice. Make sure to strain out the cilantro pieces.
