Omelette Ingredients

Method

Omelette Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Clean the fresh wild mushrooms by gently wiping them with a damp cloth. Chop them into small pieces. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Slice the avocado into thin pieces.

  2. 2

    Beat the Eggs

In a medium bowl, crack the 3 large eggs and add the salt and black pepper. Whisk the eggs until fully combined and slightly frothy.

  3. 3

    Cook the Mushrooms

In a non-stick skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter or olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped mushrooms and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender and golden. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

    Make the Omelette

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter or olive oil and allow it to heat. Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet, swirling to ensure they cover the bottom evenly. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the edges begin to set.

  5. 5

    Add Filling

Once the omelette is mostly cooked, add the sautéed mushrooms and chopped parsley on one half of the omelette. Place the sliced avocado on top of the mushrooms.

  6. 6

    Fold and Finish

Gently fold the other half of the omelette over the filling. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the omelette is cooked through but still slightly soft in the middle. Slide the omelette onto a plate.

  7. 7

    Serve

Garnish with additional chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately while hot.
