Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Drizzle the olive oil on both sides of the steak. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub the seasonings into the meat.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Place the ribeye steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.

Garlic Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 6

    Soak the Potatoes

Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, which helps them become crispy.

  3. 7

    Prepare the Garlic Oil

In a small saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry. Fry them in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.

  5. 9

    Season the Fries

Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. While still hot, drizzle the garlic oil over the fries and sprinkle with salt and chopped parsley.
