Burger Patty

Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mixing Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Forming Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty that is about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheating the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cooking the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Preparing the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Adding Toppings

On the bottom half of each bun, place a leaf of lettuce, followed by the cooked burger patty, a slice of tomato, a few rings of red onion, and finally the top half of the bun.
